Phil Marrinon, the FFA Administrator, would like to thank both Simon McMahon and Dewi Jones for their great work over the past few years. They have both made a terrific contribution to Australian Formula Ford and we wish them much success with their future endeavours. “I have recently been offered and commenced an amazing opportunity with a Supercars Championship team in a full-time media/pr/content position, and as such I am unable to fully commit to work with the Australian Formula Ford Championship in 2020. I would like to personally thank all the Championship management, teams, drivers, parents and all concerned with the Formula Ford Association over the last three years for their overwhelming support, advice and encouragement. I do hope to attend many state or national rounds when time permits to assist the management team or as a punter on the fence cheering you all on. I look forward to seeing you trackside soon!” said Dewi Jones “I'd like to thank, Phil, Iccy and the Formula Ford Association for the opportunity to be their category DSO for the past two seasons. Over my time as a race official, I've had a long affinity with the Formula Ford class and to work so closely with the category manager, the teams and the competitors has been a privilege. Unfortunately, my current work, family and other motorsport commitments mean I can't continue for 2020 but the new DSO Steve White is a very experienced racer who covered for me at two events last year and brings a wealth of knowledge to the role. I wish the FFA the very best for the 2020 season and beyond and I'll certainly still be following the results closely. “ said Simon McMahon. The 2020 Australian Formula Ford Sporting Regs will be available soon. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact our category administrator on 0422 840 300.
