2018 AUSTRALIAN FORMULA FORD CHAMPIONSHIP - ROUND 5 INFORMATION


Round 5 of the 2018 Australian Formula Ford Championship will be conducted at The Bend Motorsport Park (S.A.) on August 24th-26th. This round will be part of the OTR Supersprint and will have a different entry and documentation process from any other round of the Championship. It will be the competitor’s responsibility to ensure that all documentation is complete and correct. You must be aware of your responsibilities both in terms of the documentation, but also of the circuit requirements. The event is open to all Formula Ford and Formula Ford 1600 cars built from 1990 onwards. Entry requirements

The Formula Ford Association has been appointed to coordinate entry forms, carports and payments. The FFA administrator will undertake the pre-race administration with an FFA representative, Iccy Harrington, being the “at circuit” Category Manager. This is a round of the 2018 Australian Formula Ford Championship and, as such, competitors will need to be registered for the Championship to be able to compete (Formula Ford Duratec only). The Championship registration form can be downloaded here. Formula Ford (Duratec) competitors not competing at every event of the Championship can pay a registration fee of $275 inc. GST per event. The entry fee per competitor for round 5 at The Bend is: Entry: $1650 (incl GST) Marquee: $450 (incl GST) Total: $2,100 To enter for this round, you will need to complete the following form and send it to our administrator:

Formula Ford Schedule (subject to change)

Qualifying and race distances for Formula Ford will be as follows: Friday 2 x 20-minute Practice sessions

Saturday 1 x 20 min Qualifying, 1 x 20 min race

Sunday 2 x 20 min races Thursday Access

Park-up will be advised when confirmed.

Note: There is NO PRACTICE at the circuit during the weekdays prior to Friday (Monday to Thursday).

Marquees:

Each category manager will be organizing the booking of marquees. Competitors can ONLY book marquees directly with FFA.

Cost: $450.00 incl gst.

Document checking

Document checking is also different at this meeting. The “at circuit” Formula Ford Category Manager, Iccy Harrington, will be collecting all licences and logbooks from each competitor at the circuit and will arrange document checking with the Meeting Secretary.

This process will require the competitors to be organised and have all information completed, collated and ready for collection as directed.

It is the competitor’s responsibility to be ready. Not having the documentation ready for collection may affect your access to the circuit.

Series and Round documentation.

Competitors are required to read and understand all requirements for the race meeting they are competing in. It is the responsibility to have ALL documentation completed and to be aware of all at circuit competitor requirements.
