2017 Bathurst event taken away from Formula Ford

Regrettably, the Formula Ford Association has been advised by the 2017 Bathurst 12HR event organisers that Formula Ford will no longer be included in the 2017 Bathurst 12HR support event.

The Formula Ford community more than met the requirements for the event organisers and the FFA had already begun planning for this event that we were invited to.

“We are shocked at the news which has come out of the blue to us. We more than met the event organisers requirements and we find it very surprising that they invited us to then pull the event from us this far into our preparation. I have spoken to the event organisers and they apologised and have advised that they have chosen to run the same categories they had last year and there is no option for Formula Ford to be included in the 2017 event.”, said coordinator Phil Marrinon.

The event organisers said, “Due to scheduling constraints the promoters will not be able to include Formula Ford on the 2017 program, we are very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused and will keep you in mind for future meetings”.

We understand that this surprise decision by the event organisers will not be received well by those competitors who expressed interest to compete at this event but can reassure you that the decision made is one out of the FFA’s control.

The FFA has not processed any expression of interest payments for the event so refunds will not be required and all payment details destroyed.
