Yokohama AASA Australian Formula Ford Championship leader Oli Wickham has been signed by Triple Eight Race Engineering Australia to its racing program.

The 16-year-old won the highly credentialed Toyota GR Cup in 2025, and this year is taking on open-wheel competition in Formula Ford, winning six of the first 10 races this season.

The Australian Auto-Sport Alliance (AASA) has announced tyre manufacturer Yokohama as the naming rights sponsor for the Australian Formula Ford Championship in its first season with the sanctioning body.

Yokohama joins as the naming rights sponsor of the AASA Australian Formula Ford Championship.

AASA will take over the Australian Formula Ford Championship next year.

The Formula Ford Association has elected to split the national series from Motorsport Australia and join the AASA-run Hi-Tec Oils Super Series in 2026.
