2026 AUSTRALIAN FF 1600 NATIONALS
DATE: 27 - 29 November 2026
LOCATION: Sydney Motorsport Park
Launched in 2022 by the Formula Ford Association, the Australian Formula Ford 1600 Nationals is the single-event National Title for Kent-powered cars. Open to all Formula Ford 1600 cars, including Historic Group F in their native specification (Avon tyres).
The marquee annual event rotates through host states and attracts entries from around the country.
Following the tradition of rotating the “Nationals” between states, the 2026 event will be hosted in New South Wales, taking place at Sydney Motorsport Park as part of the HSRCA Summer Festival.
Eager to build on the strong showing of historic Formula Ford entries at the 2025 Mallala Nationals, the Historic Group F Formula Fords will contest for their own trophies - while the Formula Ford 1600 field battles for the National Title.
The two categories promise close competition and plenty of on-track action.

Qualifying
4 x heat races
Final
The event will be held over 3 days, from Friday to Sunday, with practice and qualifying on
Friday, Heat races on Saturday and Heat races and the Final on Sunday.
