BURCHARTZ CROWNED 2026 AUSTRALIAN FORMULA FORD CHAMPION
Seth Burchartz has been crowned the 2026 Yokohama Australian Formula Ford Champion, completing an outstanding season with Sonic Motor Racing Services and securing the title at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit.
Burchartz entered the season determined to challenge for the championship and emerged as one of its most consistent front-runners.
His campaign reached another level at Winton, where he produced a commanding four wins from four races, taking a 53-point championship advantage over Oliver Wickham into the Phillip Island finale.
The title places Burchartz on one of Australian motorsport’s most distinguished honour rolls. Since the national competition began in 1970, Formula Ford champions have included Larry Perkins, Craig Lowndes, Garth Tander, Jamie Whincup, Chaz Mostert, Cameron Waters, Anton De Pasquale and Thomas Randle.
Burchartz now adds his name to that remarkable history as Australian Formula Ford Champion for 2026.
