Historic Formula Fords invited at Sandown Vic State opener

For the first time in recent history, the Victorian Formula Ford Championship will welcome Historic Formula Ford competitors to enter in “Historic configuration” alongside the FF1600 class and the outright Duratec category. If you want to race your Historic car at Vic State level, you can enter for Round 1 of the 2021 Victorian Championship, scheduled for February 19th-21st at Sandown Raceway. Entries for Historic Formula Fords in the 2021 Victorian Formula Ford Championship will be open on an invitational basis during the course of the year, as agreed with the VSRS committee. We expect multiple rounds of the Vic Championship to have Historic cars racing for their own trophy in their own class. Further rounds including Historic Formula Fords will be announced during the course of the year. All Historic Formula Ford cars competing in the events must be presented as per their C.O.D. and will be scrutineered as per the historic regulations - i.e. use Avon A29 Avon tyres, minimum weight as per their historic class, etc. Historic Formula Ford competitors will not be eligible for scoring points in the 2021 Victorian Formula Ford Championship (Motorsport Australia pointscore), but the Formula Ford Association will be keeping a "historic class" pointscore within the club championship. Should you wish to enter please do so ASAP via the Motorsport Australia website. Entries for this event will close on February 1st. This is a great opportunity to run your car prior to the Phillip Island Classic in March. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact our state representatives:
