2020 Vic State and AMRS suspended

Dear competitors, We have recently received communications from both the Victorian State Race Series and the AMRS (Australian Motor Racing Series) regarding the suspension of both of their racing series. This is added to the recent suspension of the QLD Formula Ford Championship. Unfortunately, the volatility of the current COVID-19 situation is making it difficult for promoters and circuit managers to plan any future racing activities, leading to the suspension of many racing series and championships around the country. The suspension of these series is directly affecting our 2020 National Championship. Unfortunately, the first three rounds of the 2020 Australian Formula Ford Championship have been cancelled and rounds 4 and 5 are currently suspended until further notice. The seven rounds of the 2020 Australian Formula Ford Championship were scheduled as follows: Round 1: 27-29 March at Winton Motor Raceway (Vic State Championship) *CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19* Round 2: 15-17 May at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit (Vic State Championship) *CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19* Round 3: 29-31 May at The Bend Motorsport Park (AMRS) *CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19* Round 4: 24-26 July at Sandown International Raceway (Vic State Championship) *SUSPENDED* Round 5: 7-9 August at Queensland Raceway (AMRS) *SUSPENDED* Round 6: 25-27 September at Wakefield Park Raceway (NSW State Championship) Round 7: 13-15 November at Sydney Motorsport Park (NSW State Championship) Our National management team is actively working with promoters and will keep our State and National competitors informed with any news as soon as they become available. We are also working on some alternative racing options for this lockdown period. More information on this will be made available in the coming days.
