FFA Kent engine inspection results
One of three engines sealed at the Phillip Island Classic meeting earlier this year has been inspected and found to be non-compliant with the FF1600 engine regulations. Following a meeting with the appointed CAMS Stewards, a 4-month licence suspension penalty was applied to the competitor of car #3, plus exclusion from the results of the above race meeting. The licence suspension was backdated from March 11 to July 11, 2019. The two remaining sealed engines are yet to be provided for inspection. We would encourage all car owners to ensure that their engine meets the requirements of the current Formula Ford 1600 engine regulations, particularly in regard to the fitment of the required Ford or FFI stamped valves. Any enquiries on this matter should be directed to the FFA administrator: admin@formulaford.org.au or 0422 840 300.
