Historic Formula Fords competing for outright FF1600 win
We would like to remind all of our Historic Formula Ford competitors that they are allowed to race for the outright FF1600 win in State and National competition, provided that they comply with the regulations of the class. As stated in Schedule L of the CAMS Manual of Motorsport, 5th category cars can compete in the modern class without affecting their logbook or COD requirements, they only need to comply with the regulations of that class (tyres, weight, etc) for that single event. Below are the regulations for the various championships held around the country:
Australian FF1600 Championship: Historic Formula Ford cars are allowed to compete only in FF1600 spec.
WA Formula Ford Championship: Historic Formula Ford cars are allowed to race in either historic or FF1600 spec.
SA Formula Ford Championship: Historic Formula Ford cars are allowed to race in either historic or FF1600 spec.
VIC Formula Ford Championship: Historic Formula Ford cars are allowed to compete only in FF1600 spec.
NSW Formula Ford Championship: Historic Formula Ford cars are allowed to race in either historic or FF1600 spec.
QLD Formula Ford Championship: Historic Formula Ford cars are allowed to race in either historic or FF1600 spec.
