Hills caps off perfect season with perfect final race

Cameron Hill capped off a perfect weekend by taking victory in Race 3 of the final round of the 2015 Australian Formula Ford Series at Wakefield Park. Hill completed the clean sweep of pole position and victory in all three races to go with his newly-minted Championship title. He also posted the fastest lap time of the race. Thomas Maxwell and Christian Morina engaged in a race-long battle for second and third, which Maxwell ultimately won. Morina’s third secured him second place in the championship. Mitch Martin was fourth, with Cameron Shields and Adrian Lazzaro fifth and sixth. Jayden Ojeda finished seventh, while Paul Zsidy recovered from his DNF in Race 2 to finish eighth. Luis Leeds’ troubled weekend continued, with a pit-lane start ending his hopes of challenging for second in the championship. He ultimately finished 10th. Cameron Walters won the Kent class, with Daniel Hoolihan second and Robert Power third. Walters’ victory means that he has taken out the championship for the Kent class. Luke Ellery, Leanne Tander and Benjamin Reichstein all failed to finish.
