Cameron Hill wins third and final race at Queensland Raceway

Hill’s win makes it two out of three for the weekend for the points leader. Hill said the “car was quick from the outset” but it all came down to “racecraft” as he fought it out with Luis Leeds and William Brown. Hill, Leeds, and Brown were locked in an intense battle for majority of the race. However, in the end the chasing pair couldn’t topple form man Hill. Identical fastest laps were set by Hill, Leeds and Brown during the closing stages of the race. Late in the race Leeds ran wide around Turn 3, which caused some wheel-to-wheel racing on the run to Turn 4. But Leeds’ slip was not enough for Brown to grab second. The race was over early for Jake Spencer and Thomas Maxwell, with an incident on Lap 1 at Turn 3. No safety car was necessary, but as a consequence Spencer and Maxwell ended up at the rear of the field. Andrew Kahl climbed through the field from eighth to finish fourth. Meanwhile it was another fifth place for Christian Morina, and overall a solid weekend for the National Series rookie. Cameron Walters finished first in the Kent class, ahead of Robert Power, James Corbertt and Jimmy Bailey.
