The 2014 Australian Formula Ford Series kicked off at Round 2 of the Shannons Australian Motor Racing Nationals at Mallala Motorsport Park with close and clean racing ensuing all weekend. The revamped Australian Formula Ford Series is set to kick off as part of this weekend’s Shannons Australian Motor Racing Nationals round at Mallala Motor Sport Park. After a restructure of the series that focussed on cost reduction, the grid numbers are set to rise with 34 cars registered to compete in the series with 22 confirmed for the round 1 racing. The future of the Australian Formula Ford Series is bright, according to Sonic Motor Racing Services principal Michael Ritter. The revamped 2014 Australian Formula Ford Series is set to kick off with a bang with the first round to be held at the upcoming Shannons Motor Racing Nationals on the 26 -27 April at Mallala Motorsport Park.
